Church Ministries

What we have going on Sunday mornings & Wednesday nights. Check out the "Community ministries" page to see how you can get involved.

Sunday morning sermon series

Pastor Harry is currently leading the church through the Book of Numbers.

1 Corinthians 10 tells us that the wilderness experience was an example for us to know "what NOT to do" as we walk through our wilderness experience before we enter our Promised Land. Join us 10:30am each Sunday.

1 Cor. 10 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, 2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. 6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. 7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.” 8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; 9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to ]bear it.

Adult Sunday School

"The Church Has Gone To The Wolves.

While there are great, godly men that boldly and biblically shepherd their flocks, the majority of evangelical churches have become silly centers. The result? America the beautiful has become America the debauched."

Join us during our Adult Sunday school as we read Judge Not by Todd Friel.

In this book Todd Friel exposes the negatives of the current day evangelical church and tells of some shocking events. From youth ministers putting peanut butter in their armpits to "Holy Ghost Bartender"'s. This book will show you what you can do to help end the trickery used by many churches today.

Join us in the main sanctuary Sunday Morning at 9:30AM. Join us for coffee and donuts before class.

High school youth Sunday school

Our teens come from all around Sidney, Anna, Houston and other areas. We are able to minister to them with teaching, fellowship, games and activities that all have a purpose in explaining the message of forgiveness, love and redemption of Jesus.

Our youth ministry is not some extension of the church; it is a means to let our young people see they are currently part of the church family. We do this by having weekly Wednesday night meetings, outings and service projects.

We offer a Sunday School class on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM taught by Chris Duncan. They are currently going through a book study of "Way of the Master".

John Bruce leads our teens each Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.

Both classes meet in the very casual setting of sofas and chairs, lovingly refferd to as the, "youth lounge" in the church basement.

Wednesday night Sr./Jr. High student ministry

The Gospel Project for Sr./Jr. High Students is a Christ-centered, chronological study that will take your students on a journey through the storyline of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. Along the way, students will discover the big picture of what God has been doing throughout redemptive history, and what it means for them.

Classes are held on Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM in the downstairs Youth Room.

Children's Ministries

Children's ministry for all ages is provided weekly. Kids church, Mini-church, Nursery & Girls Ministry are all part of Cornerstone's ministry to the family. Sunday School classes are available for children for ages 4 to 6th grade.

The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

Child care is provided for children under the age of 4.
